THE WORD FOR THE WEEK
Title: Whats up with ur HEART! 7/2/2017
“For we speak as messengers approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News. Our purpose is to please God, not people. God alone examines the motives of the Heart…Finally, we sent Timothy…to strengthen you, to encourage your faith and to keep you from being shaken by the troubles you were going through…I was afraid that the tempter (the enemy) had gotten the best of you and that our work had been useless…It gives us new life to know that you are strong in ur faith and standing firm in the Lord!” 1 Thessalonians 2:4 – 3:8 (NLT)
The Apostle Paul is our featured Author of The Word for the Week. Paul was intelligent, articulate and committed to his calling mission, method of delivery and to his motive. He even wrote the most letters in the New Testament so I am hopeful you are just as excited as I am to hear what he has to say. God is looking for more Pauls’ to not be a coward but boldly tell the story of Salvation. Paul wrote what was up in his heart. He addressed the Romans by openly confessing in God, the Father; his son Jesus; and, the Power, the Holy Spirit. He believed that the Power that founded Earth also created the Heavens and stars and that same Power placed a divine Jesus in the belly of Mary who had not known a man. Why would He use His power to create himself in the form of a baby Jesus? All men had and will continue to sin! The forgiveness of sin comes but only through our Faith in Jesus. So, once confessed from the HEART, God is faithful to forgive. So believe, and move on with life. “It is only through faith that a righteous person has life” (Romans 1:17). “The bible tells us that our faith is made through trials of suffering so be joyful to suffer.” (James 1:2.) So, as we suffer, we must let it transform our lives and let God show through us so others will see we love God (as we patiently wait for change) and we love God’s people too. “Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.” (Romans 15:7). (Let it be clear, we are speaking in general of the character of God’s people realizing that the enemy also has his people. Matthew says ways to tell the difference is to examine the HEART and the good fruits produced). Proverbs 4:23 says, Guard your heart with all diligence because out of it comes the issues of life”. So, what’s up in your heart? God will give you the wisdom to deal with whatever challenge you are going through especially if the HEART is right and ask these questions: Pray God, how do want me to develop spiritually by this trial? How do I cooperate to reap maximal benefits now and in the future? What do you desire in me to change?
We at Med-Life Fit love you all and pray that what’s up in your HEART is like that in Paul. Know your mission calling (help believers to tell their story of salvation), Know your method (submit to the Holy Spirit when it speaks to you) and Know your motive (Paul did it because he loved God and people with all his HEART!). God never failed Paul and He won’t fail you! Attend Groups in July!!!!
