THE WORD for the WEEK
Title: The meaning wrapped up in The Scroll                                10/8/17
“And when he took The scroll, the four living beings and the twenty-four elders fell down before Him…And they sang a new song with these words: You are worthy to take The scroll and break its seals and open it. For u were slaughtered, and your blood has ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. And you have caused them to become a Kingdom of priests for our God. And they are reigning on earth” Revelation 5:9-10   NLT
The apostle John was exiled to the Greek island of Patmos as a result of anti-Christian persecution under the Roman emperor, Domitian.  John was given a vision around 95 years A.D. to give to the seven churches in Asia Minor. The churches were troubled due to persecutions at that time for their beliefs in Christianity. The vision John saw while on this island was God’s way of giving assurance to His people that He had not forgotten about them.
Today, we focus on Revelation 5: The Meaning wrapped up in The ScrollJohn actually saw in the hand of God while sitting on the throne, a rolled parchment of sheets with seven seals.
The secrets written in the scroll are actually mysteriously hidden from the eye and the understandings are unrevealed. John begins to cry because no one is Worthy to break the seals and reveal the contents in the scroll. The seven seals are not to be all opened at once but one after each other, in time until the whole mystery of God’s counsel and conduct is finished in the world. The question is asked, “Who is worthy of God to unwrap His secrets and understandings of the world and in the lives of the living creatures within? We need not weep that we cannot foresee these future events-for to see may render us distressed and unprosperous days. John vision gives us comfort however to know that no matter what comes, God sees and gave His son’s blood as ransom for many.
Christ stands as our eternal mediator between God and people. He’s called the Lion but appears as a Lamb slain. He suffered for us; to plead for us in heaven. He appeared in John’s vision with 7 horns and 7 eyes to reflect perfect power to execute and the perfect wisdom to understand God’s perfect will. He is the only one worthy to break the seal and the only one God readily reveals His plan. Let us praise Him on earth! It pleased the Father that in Him should all fullness dwell (Colossians 1:19). It is He that presents you holy and unblameable in God’s sight.
We, at Med-Life-Fit encourage you to continue in faith, grounded and settled; Let not your mind be removed from the hope of the gospel; Not be moved from improving the Temple where Christ’s spirit lives. You can’t die until He fulfills what he promised for your life. Now that’s The meaning of the Scroll.
And all he did in the service of God and in his efforts to follow God…Hezekiah sought his God wholeheartedly. As a result, he was very successful” 2 Chronicles 21
