“Jesus said, “But, when The Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, The Spirit of Truth, who proceeds from the Father, He will bear witness about me. And, you also will bear witness of me….

John 15:26-27 (ESV)

God, the Father expects us to grow in our understanding and grow in the knowledge of His nature. When we do, He causes the person to grow with unlimited vision and unrelenting faith. At God’s will, He reveals himself to us and we can not of our selves discover God. In Old testament times, it was thought that there was a secret or mystique about God and His revelation to His people. The Apostle John tells us that the nature of God is no longer a secret but that God reveals himself to us in 3 personalities (The Father, The Son, Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit). We don’t discover God and His personalities, He discovers us as we grow, step by step, year by years, in spiritual maturity. That’s why it important to seek and develop a personal relationship with “The Helper” continually.

In the above scripture, Jesus is at a threshold because he knows he is about to die and be punished horribly through crucifixion. It looked like a failure or set back. He came into the world to die for our sins. However, in God’s kingdom, Failure is never Final, especially if you believe in the Resurrection. Victory was sealed over 2000 years ago against death! Rom 8:37 says, “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us”. Jesus uses two names for “The Helper”: Advocate and Spirit of Truth. The adversary of Christ does not want you to know you have a helper, an encourager, and who gives inner strength through the Holy Spirit living in your heart through Faith.  The Spirit of Truth functions to teach, illuminate and remind you that the Spirit is in you, growing in you so God can reveal more of His nature to you, day by day.  God wants you to live in a place of dominion and peace. Jesus says in John 16:33, “I say these things to you that in me you may have peace!” So, thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ, to those who believe and have faith.

We, at Dr. Dowe Medical Clinic want you to know, “You will have setbacks!!! Jesus had a crucifixion BUT He had a resurrection. Do not take a step back because God is preparing your comeback!  Be Blessed. Dr. Dowe
