4 Things about PRAYING

July 02, 2018

“While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”  Then after fasting and PRAYING, they laid their hands on them…being sent out by the Holy Spirit…Acts 13:2-4 ESV

Paul is a well-respected servant of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He willingly served and loved Jesus with dear respect. Paul was an apostle which means in Greek “One who is sent.”  Jesus chose 12 men to accompany him through his 3-year earthly ministry spreading the gospel message. The gospel message also called “The Good News” according to Greek. It is ultimately the message that God will forgive sins, deliver us from sin’s power and gives us an eternal hope to live forever with Him in heaven through faith. Jesus taught that if anyone believed in Him and His death, burial and resurrection, they would have The Good News of life and not death.  The sovereign, supernatural God himself revealed His divine, supernatural plan by revealing Himself to man through a divine Jesus, the Messiah through a 3-year ministry here on earth. Jesus selected Paul to initiate spreading the “Good News” to reach all around the world. Paul did a lot of PRAYING to complete his calling for life.

Do U believe that God wants to do something Great for U? Can U believe that God wants to expand His Kingdom through U? God wanted it for Paul; Paul was consumed with His mission and was quite successful; God has a plan for U. So, lets examine 4 qualities of PRAYING that’s crucial to move you to your next level.

1.     Strategic PRAYING: Realize The Hope of ur call; pray God enlightens ur wisdom in His global strategy of salvation to unite all things to HIM (Ephesians 1)

2.     Revealing PRAYING: there is an authority & power that comes with God’s word that illuminates and will not let you fall nor stumble

(Psalms 119: 1, 8,9,11 and 105)

3.     Warfare PRAYING: If saved, realize u will be in a war and put on the whole armor (Ephesians 6:11)

4.     Unceasing PRAYING: Pray always for your purpose: not out of your pain.  God will allow pain until He shows you who He is. (1 Thes 5:17 & Gen:22-31)
